Choosing
What age can kids start climbing?
Many children meet low, wide-rung structures like a Pikler triangle around the time they start pulling up to stand. Each set’s suggested age range is on its product page. Adult supervision is needed at every age.
How do I know it will fit?
Enter your room or yard size and ceiling height in the “Will it fit?” planner. It adds the clear space each set needs around it and shows which sets fit.
What happens when my kid outgrows it?
Our sets are modular: you add a net, a rope, rings or a trapeze to the same frame over time. Open your set in the builder to see what fits.
Product
What materials do you use?
Our sets are made of wood, rope, nets and steel hardware. For details on a specific product — wood species, finishes, rope type — just ask us.
What is the maximum weight?
Ask us for the weight rating of the specific set you’re considering. Our sets are designed for children; they are not meant for adults to play on.
Which safety standards do your products meet?
The relevant references in the US include ASTM F1148 (home playground equipment), ASTM F1487 (public playground equipment), ASTM F1292 (surfacing), the CPSC Playground Safety Handbooks and, for children’s products, CPSIA requirements. For questions about testing and compliance documentation for a specific product, contact us.
Shipping & payment
Can I install it myself?
Yes — home sets come with an illustrated step-by-step guide and all mounting hardware. Most take 1–4 hours. Wall- and ceiling-mounted sets must be fixed into studs or joists; if you’re not sure, hire a licensed contractor. We also offer professional installation across Massachusetts and New England.
Where do you ship, and how long does it take?
We ship to the contiguous United States. Home sets ship in 3–5 business days by UPS/FedEx; backyard sets ship by freight (curbside delivery) in 2–4 weeks. Shipping is free on orders over $500.
Do you charge sales tax?
Sales tax is calculated based on the delivery address where required and shown before you pay.
What warranty do you offer?
Our sets come with a 5-year limited warranty on wooden structural parts and a 1-year warranty on ropes, nets, hardware and accessories, against defects in materials and workmanship. Natural wood characteristics and normal wear aren’t covered. See our Terms of Sale for details.
How do I pay?
Send an order request from the cart. We confirm availability, shipping and sales tax by email within one business day and send you a secure payment link (all major credit cards). Nothing is charged until you approve.
Safety
What surface do I need outdoors?
Impact-absorbing surfacing at a depth suited to the fall height — for example wood chips, engineered wood fiber, sand, pea gravel or rubber. Concrete, asphalt, packed dirt and grass are not suitable. See the CPSC Outdoor Home Playground Safety Handbook, or ask us.
Can the backyard sets stay out in winter?
Yes, backyard sets are made to live outdoors. For long New England winters, bring swings, ropes and nets indoors if you can, and check anchors and hardware every spring — freeze–thaw cycles can loosen them.
How often should I inspect it?
Take a quick look before play, do a thorough check of ropes, knots, hardware and wood every month, and a full check every spring. Stop using the set if you notice wear, loosening or splinters, and contact us for spare parts.
Daycare & community projects
How do daycare and community projects work?
We start with a site visit, then design an age-zoned plan, agree on scope with your director, board or property manager, build, install and hand over the documents. A typical project takes 6–12 weeks from approval to installation, with 1–3 days on site. Send the project form and we’ll get back to you within one business day.
